1 Day Rotorua Tour Price 

Relax for today your Guide/Driver will pick you up from your hotel in central Auckland for the start of your journey to Rotorua, New Zealand’s Thermal Wonderland and cultural epicentre. We head south to the Bombay Hills, down into the Waikato region, through some of the richest of the country’s productive dairy farming that New Zealand is known for.

Following the Waikato River, New Zealand’s largest, to the small township of Cambridge, a step back to England “down under” where we will stop to have tea or coffee at an old church that has been converted into a comfortable and tasty stopover. Cambridge is well known for its Horse studs, where 17 Melbourne Cup winners have come from along with many other kiwi sporting heroes for whom this area has been their training grounds.

Following this we continue down to Lake Karapiro, we continue on through the Mamaku Ranges National forest and down into Rotorua a town known for its Geothermal activity on the lake edge.

Upon arrival into beautiful Rotorua is the Government Gardens and stroll around for a while, unwinding from our drive, we will then enjoy a light lunch in the near the Museum Café before visiting Te Puia, including Maori Arts & Crafts and Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, home of the famous Pohutu Geyser and boiling mud pools. There is also an opportunity to see the kiwi, our national bird, in the specially created “Kiwi House.”

As people have very different sightseeing tastes you now have the 1 or 2 option (At your cost)

A beautiful drive through native bush to Lake Tarawera and the Blue and Green Lakes to cave paintings. 

A visit to Rainbow Springs Nature Park. A chance for you to browse through a natural New Zealand experience.

A relaxing dip in the thermal waters at the Polynesian Spa.

Whatever you choose to do you can be assured of a unique experience in the heartland of Maori culture. Sit back, relax and allow your tour guide to show and tell you about the history and culture of this fascinating area. If you wish to challenge your spirit, activities and attractions abound, with something to satisfy everyone.

Later in the day, perhaps after relaxing dip in a thermal pool, we will head back to Auckland, following the setting sun as we pass through the open lush fields and rolling hills of Matamata arriving back at your hotel in the early evening.
